Dear Friends,

Growing up in the city of Syracuse, my family opened our home to over 20 foster children. This wonderful experience shaped my respect and understanding of the many ethnic and religious groups that add to the wealth and diversity of Onondaga County. It also developed in me a keen desire to serve and do whatever I could to empower families to overcome turmoil and challenges in their lives.

With 20 years of professional experience in Family Court as well as in courts throughout Onondaga County, I have a proven track record of bringing justice to families.

Since January, 2008, as the executive director of the McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center, I have been immersed in family and abuse issues on a daily basis. I played an integral role in developing the new Child Advocacy Center – where government, medical, law enforcement, prosecuting attorneys and not-for-profit agencies come together to serve children who have suffered serious physical and sexual abuse. I have helped facilitate services to thousands of children and ardently believe I will be able to help even more as an Onondaga County Family Court Judge.

I promise to treat every family who comes before me with the utmost concern, integrity, and respect because I know the decisions I make will impact the lives of each and every member of that family for years to come. The judicial system is helping shape their future, so I understand the critical role swift and compassionate justice plays. I believe one person with conviction and compassion can make a positive difference in the lives of many.
